Frequently Asked Questions

How do I set up my keyboard on my phone?

1. Open Settings on your device.

2. Go to General > Keyboard > Keyboards.

3. Tap “Add New Keyboard”.

4. Select “Creator Keyboard” from the list.

5. You can now access the keyboard in any app or website by pressing the globe (🌐) icon in the bottom left of your default keyboard.

Can anyone see what I add to my keyboard?

No. All of your data is kept on your phone.

Can I share responses I've created?

Yes. If you want to share responses with family, friends or the general public you can simply export your data and the person you want to share with can import it. This might be useful for sharing responses between devices or loading up a family member with important information they can quickly access from their keyboard if they need to.

Can I export/backup my responses to iCloud?

Yes. In order to back them up to the cloud just export your responses on your settings page and choose or create a folder where you would like to save them in your iCloud account.

Do you have an affiliate program?

No. But if you enjoy the app we’ll think you’re amazing if you tell a friend. 🙂

Can I use my app on multiple devices?

Yes. You can install Creator Keyboard on your iPhone and iPad as long as they are on the same Apple ID. If you use the companion browser extension you will need to export the responses from your phone and import them into your extension.

Can I customize Thanks-O-Matic?

Not at this time but we’ve loaded Thanks-O-Matic with 100 different ways to say thanks so you shouldn’t run out. However, if you have some favorites or want to modify what’s there you can make a “Thanks” folder and fill it with “Thanks” related responses you can use.

If you do that, I recommend turning on “Partition Responses” in your app Settings in order to keep your Responses list from getting filled with “Thanks” messages.

What does sort by colors do?

Enable this to group your responses by color, making it easier to find them visually. Colors also have priority in sorting. I recommend experimenting with this because it can be great for additional organization.

What is the best default view?

This is customizable due to the wide use cases for this app so feel free to choose the view that makes the most sense to you.
